American Pancakes:
Ingredients:
1 cup of all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of milk
1 large egg
2 tablespoons of unsalted melted butter,
1 teaspoon vanilla extract. It (optional)
Butter or cooking oil for cooking
Maple syrup or honey and your favorite toppings
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix the all dry ingredients. All-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, beat the egg, liquid milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract (it is optional).
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter or cooking oil.
Pour 1/4 cup of batter into the hot skillet for each pancake.
